SAFETY TIPS
- Stay Informed: Stay up-to-date with the latest news and information from trusted sources, such as government agencies, healthcare organizations, and reputable news outlets.
- Practice Social Distancing: Maintain a safe distance from others to reduce the risk of transmission.
- Wear a Mask: Wear a mask when in public to protect yourself and others from airborne transmission.
- Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water and healthy fluids to keep your body strong and resilient.
- Get Enough Sleep: Prioritize rest and relaxation to help your immune system function properly.
SAFEST PLACES TO BE
- Home: Your home is often the safest place to be, especially during times of uncertainty.
- Open Spaces: Outdoor areas with fresh air and minimal human contact, such as parks or hiking trails, can be safe and healthy options.
- Well-Ventilated Areas: Indoor spaces with good ventilation, such as shopping malls or movie theaters, can be safe as long as proper precautions are taken.
- Healthcare Facilities: If you’re experiencing symptoms or need medical attention, healthcare facilities are safe and equipped to handle emergencies.
SAFETY REMINDERS
- Avoid Crowded Areas: Steer clear of crowded public places, such as shopping centers, movie theaters, or public transportation, to reduce the risk of transmission.
- Avoid Close Contact: Maintain a safe distance from others, especially those who are sick or showing symptoms of illness.
- Wash Your Hands: Frequently wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds to prevent the spread of illness.
- Use Hand Sanitizer: When soap and water are not available, use hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol.
- Avoid Touching Your Face: Try to avoid touching your face, especially your eyes, nose, and mouth, as this can spread illness.

As I’m finishing studies, I keep thinking – what’s next? Seeing the news brings anxiety into my heart.
I don’t have a home, or a home country really so I have no ties to one place – like an anchor that doesn’t allow you to leave. But I keep thinking – where in the world right now is it safe/ a good idea to invest in building a home/ family? That’s my question really – is there even such a thing as a safe place right now in this world? I wasn’t always this alone, I’ve only recently lost my home.
