Seminole Hard Rock Tampa Evacuated Twice After Suspicious Devices Found at the Casino
TAMPA, FLORIDA – In a shocking development, the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa was evacuated not once, but twice, today after suspicious devices were found on the premises.
According to eyewitnesses, the casino was evacuated around 12:30 pm local time after a security sweep uncovered a suspicious package. patrons were asked to leave the building while authorities investigated.
However, just as everything seemed to be back to normal, the casino was evacuated again around 4:30 pm after a second suspicious device was found.
"We take the safety and security of our guests and employees very seriously, and we are working closely with local authorities to determine the nature and origin of these devices," said a spokesperson for the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa.
The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office and the Tampa Police Department were called to the scene, and a bomb disposal unit was dispatched to examine the devices.
While details are still scarce, law enforcement officials have confirmed that the devices were deemed suspicious due to their unusual design and construction.
"We want to assure the public that we are taking every precaution to ensure the safety and security of everyone in and around the casino," said a spokesperson for the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office.
The evacuation caused disruption to the casino’s daily operations, with many guests and employees forced to evacuate the premises.
As authorities continue to investigate, officials are urging anyone with information about the devices to come forward.
