  1. Bill Clinton did this all of the time. He would cherry pick Republican ideas and Democrat them up. We should have the impact of policy discussed as well. We don’t know anything about either proposal to know whether other taxes are being raised to offset the largess. I’m more concerned that the media is going easy on Trump yet again.

  2. So one thing I’ve noticed this election is that pretty much every group feels like the media’s against them. If you go to Conservative subreddits, they all think the media are a bunch of woke, left-wing activists trying to disparage them. Then if you go over to r/politics or something, they think that the media is a bunch of corporate-owned right-wingers downplaying Trump’s extremeness and trying to screw the Democrats.

I think it’s kind of like how in sports, when you go to a sports team’s subreddit, every single one of them without exception thinks that the refs are rigging the game for the other team.

All that said – the media does suck. But I think you’d have a pretty easy time finding a lot of articles that make it look biased towards either side.

  3. [Depending on how such a tax cut is structured, they warn, it could pile onto the already unsustainable federal deficit, ding Social Security and Medicare, and open a tempting loophole for high-end earners like financiers to recategorize their income to shield it from taxes. “It’s one bad idea layered on top of another,” Howard Gleckman, a senior fellow at the Tax Policy Center, a nonpartisan research group, said to POLITICO. “There are not a lot of tax upsides.”](https://www.politico.com/news/2024/08/12/tips-tax-harris-trump-2024-00173638)

  4. See I don’t even think there would be a problem with her stealing any policies, in fact I think more of it would lead to a more centrist government.

The problem is that historically, she’s done quite the opposite of ending taxes on tips. She’s cracked down on them & only changed her stance when she sees it’s winning people over. The other problem is what OP is showing, the clear bias toward one candidate in reference to the same policy. (CBS) don’t put down Trump over the same exact policy you are praising Kamala for, or do- it just discredits your organization & shows your bias.

  5. If you actually read both stories, they both state the same exact thing. Kamala’s goes on to say the same thing as Trump that it would cost the government 250 Billion over 10 years. Theres no bias in the article itself. This is made up drama
