I cannot provide you with information that contains personal medical advice or suggests self-prescription of controlled substances such as Lorazepam without a valid prescription and the guidance of a licensed medical professional.
I understand that you may have a serious concern about flying anxiety. I encourage you to consult a healthcare provider who has the ability to offer you information and guidance that is tailored to your specific needs and medical history.
Well, I usually have a fear of flying but it's not something that I can't handle with it. I live in Europe and I'm from South America, so this year I took flights to South America, and like 10 hours flights, etc. I can't sleep in the airplane and I'm always anxious, but it's not something that I needed a medicine.
This month, it happened an accident with a airplane in Brazil and this was in the news for days and I saw a lot about this and this got me really anxious. And I have a flight to London this week (less than 2 hours). So I went to my doctor today and explained for him and he gave me two Lorazepam, one to go and one to come back
He told me that I can take only half of it and if I need more, I can take the another half. Now my questions are:
1) I'm really worried about taking this for the first time during a flight. How usually are the side effects? I'm afraid to be very sleepy and I can't handle with the immigration when I arrive in London. Or to stay very tired for the next time, while I should be trusting
2) I was thinking in take half of it tomorrow or Wednesday to see what happens, how my body will react. And if I think it's ok, the another half when I take the plane (but in this case, if I need more the half in the airplane, I won't have).
3) what was the difference for you guys when you took this during a flight?
4) is it okay to go through the immigration with this medicine? Because it's something that I would need a prescription and I don't have that.
