They were always actually Trump supporters, so the truth is that this makes them pretty happy.
It seems everyone, but RFK jr supporters knew what he was all about.
It does highlight that this endorsement really isn’t about policies. He doesn’t give two shits about the policies that he was touting during his bid.
RFK Jr. is endorsing Trump because he believes that the Democrat party has slighted him. It’s revenge politics. And the people who are transitioning from RFK Jr. to Trump are perfectly fine with voting for the purpose of revenge. Revenge is basically a major policy promise in Trump’s camp.
i’ve said it another post – most will double down or use some mental gymnastics to explain away what’s been clear to most. for a variety of reasons, admitting the obvious truth is challenging. RFK only cares about himself and he was funded by rich, MAGA conservatives to disrupt the campaign for democrats. hilariously, his anti-vax / anti-establishment garbage got too popular and became a threat to trump.
yet another reason to support Harris. she could have taken RFK’s endorsement and provided him a cabinet position like he wanted. however, she has some integrity and she told him to pack sand.
Despite a lot of signs of it not going the way they wanted, I think most just wanted a strong candidate that wasn’t Biden/ Kamala/ Trump.
I think most of us can agree that being forced to pick between these guys really sucks. It’s shows how desperate a lot of people feel about wanting more/ better representation than we’ve been offered.
