SpiceJet to Settle All Dues by September 30: Delhi High Court
MUMBAI, SEPTEMBER 22: SpiceJet, one of India’s largest budget airlines, has assured the Delhi High Court that it will settle all its outstanding dues by September 30. The company has made this commitment to the court in response to a lawsuit filed by the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO).
According to the plea filed by SpiceJet, the company is taking measures to settle the outstanding dues to its employees, including wages, benefits, and other entitlements. The airline has also assured the court that it will not divert any funds to settle these dues, ensuring that its creditors receive their payments.
This development comes as a relief to SpiceJet’s employees, who have been awaiting payment of their outstanding dues for several months. The company’s commitment to settling all dues by September 30 has brought some respite to the employees, who have been struggling to make ends meet due to the delayed payments.
SpiceJet’s plea also stated that the company is taking steps to strengthen its financial position, including raising capital and reorganizing its debt structure. The airline has also assured the court that it will not compromise on its safety standards or compromise on its commitment to its customers.
