Arson Line of Investigation Launched in Chetumal House Fire, Riviera Maya

In a shocking turn of events, a house fire in Chetumal, a coastal city in the Mexican state of Quintana Roo, has been ruled as suspicious and is now under investigation for arson.
According to local authorities, the fire occurred at approximately 2:00 a.m. this morning at a private residence in the upscale neighborhood of El Cid, which is popular among tourists and locals alike.
Initial reports indicate that the fire was severe, with flames engulfing the majority of the property. Miraculously, no fatalities were reported, but the family who resides in the house was left without a home.

"We are taking this case very seriously and are working tirelessly to determine the cause of the fire," said Captain Jorge Morales, head of the Chetumal Fire Department. "We urge anyone with information to come forward and assist us in bringing those responsible to justice."
The investigation has led authorities to collect evidence and interview witnesses, including neighbors and nearby residents.
This is not the first time that a house fire has been ruled as suspicious in Chetumal. In recent years, a string of fires has plagued the city, leaving many residents on edge.
