I built NeetoCal, a calendly alternative https://neeto.com/cal . Once I decided to launch it I spent a significant amount of time on twitter and LinkedIn. But I didn't get much signups. That was a bit disheartening.
I was not big on Product Hunt, so I kept delaying and delaying. Thanks to our team members, I accepted that we should have a Product Hunt launch. This decision turned out to be a game-changer for NeetoCal.
Our story highlighted that NeetoCal was entering a crowded market as the 31st scheduling software option available. We listed all 30 existing competitors, illustrating that scheduling software has become a commodity. Our key point was that while many of these competitors priced their services like luxury goods, we priced NeetoCal competitively, aligning with the expectations for a commodity product.
The results from the Product Hunt launch were fantastic. We gained many new customers and received valuable feedback. Here is our product hunt page if someone wants to see it. https://www.producthunt.com/products/neetocal
The next day, I wrote a blog post reflecting on the success of our Product Hunt launch. To my astonishment, this blog made it to the front page of Hacker News and stayed there for 2 to 3 hours. This exposure led to even more feedback and further increased our customer base. Here is the blog https://blog.neeto.com/p/neetocal-a-calendly-alternative-is.
At one point of time I decided to work with influencers. However I lost all my money on them. Here is the list of influceners I had made. I'v hidden their name. Info about their number of followers and rate is mentioned.

We worked with 7/8 influencers. Paid them money shown in the google sheet. Result was NIL. Nada, Zilch.
All the followers numbers that I was seeing on LinkedIn or on Instagram were bots. We didn't get our money worth so we stopped doing influencer marketing for NeetoCal.
Today on an average I'm seeing around 30 new free signups a day.
Most importantly these people are engaging with us. They send us messages on our chat, email, community slack, LinkedIn. Managing all the requests was getting a bit difficult so just two days ago we decided to have a public roadmap. https://neetocal.upvoty.com/
From marketing point of view our "pricing philosophy" gets the highest amount of hit. https://www.neeto.com/pricing-philosophy
We have not taken any VC investment. Not good or bad. Just stating that. We are ok with slow organic growth.
Another thing to note that we are working on many different products at the same time. When a lot of folks work on the same product then there is quite an overhead in managing the team members. I avoid that by having team size of 2 or 3. No product will have four engineers.

Just signed up. Anxious to try this. We’re also aligned on our approach to pricing.
Great post. I’m also struggling to get more sign-ups on my product [https://primeb.io/](https://primeb.io/) , a video monetization platform.
I guess I’ll also launch first on Product Hunt and see the results.
