My Portfolio Took a Dump Today

My portfolio, which is about 50% QLD and 50% TQQQ, took a big dump today, 9/3.

The good news is that I still have a lot of money left over. Glass half full kind of thing. Actually, a lot more than half full.

What do I plan to do about this unfortunate turn of events? Absolutely nothing.

Of course it is disappointing to lose so much money on paper, but in no way does this justify taking any action. Unfortunately I don't have the funds to go bargain hunting and buy more shares. Oh well.

People who freak out at an occurrence such as this should rethink whether they should be in the stock market. Every portfolio is going to suffer some drawdown — nothing to worry about.

To borrow from Jack Bogle, "stay the course". I have every confidence that my portfolio will bounce back, given time.
