Gamarjoba and Hello everyone!
So my girlfriend and myself are planning on leaving Dubai and moving to Tbilisi on Feb 2025.
I'll be working remotely, and given that we've both been to Tbilisi before and loved it, we thought it would be a great place for us to be in as we're tired of the Dubai lifestyle. I am Ukrainian/Lebanese and she is Dutch/Japanese. I am familiar with the lifestyle that Tbilisi offers and the culture in a way.
I was really excited about the move. But now with all the fear and negative news about the upcoming elections, i am a bit worried. Will expats not be as welcomed? Will the Digital nomad lifestyle that Tbilisi now offers be affected? Heck, will Ukrainians not be as welcomed anymore? Again, i am quite aware of the politics in the region (being half Ukrainian myself), and am really keen on moving to Tbilisi. Just want to be ready for any reprecussions.

No one knows the answers to these questions, no one can assure you either. If you’re very uncomfortable with uncertainty then there’s no need to stress yourself, check what’s it like in half a year and think about it again.
I’m from UK and I live here. I can give my opinions but not any certainties like the other commenter said. DM me if you’d like my perspective as an “expat” living here.
