Mental Health Fallout Rocks Iowa State University as High-Control Group Targets Students
Ames, IA – In a shocking turn of events, Iowa State University (ISU) students are speaking out about the devastating impact of a high-control group that has infiltrated campus, leaving a trail of emotional distress and mental health concerns in its wake.
According to reports, the group, known for its charismatic leader and strict adherence to a particular ideology, has been using manipulative tactics to control and dominate its members, including ISU students.
VICTIMS SHARE THEIR STORIES
"We were drawn in by their charismatic leader and the sense of belonging they offered," said Emily, a sophomore at ISU who asked to remain anonymous. "But soon, we realized that they were controlling our every move, dictating what we could and couldn’t do, and using guilt and shame to keep us in line."
"It was like being in a cult," added Jake, a junior at ISU. "They would get us to do things we didn’t want to do, like give up our social media accounts or cut ties with our families. And if we questioned anything, they would silence us or make us feel like we were the ones who were wrong."
MENTAL HEALTH CONCERNS RISE
The psychological impact of this high-control group on ISU students is becoming increasingly apparent, with many reporting feelings of anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem.
"It’s like living in a constant state of fear," said Sarah, a junior at ISU. "You’re never sure what’s going to happen next or what expectations you’re supposed to meet. It’s exhausting."
CAMPUS REACTS
ISU administrators have issued a statement condemning the group’s activities and pledging support for affected students.
"We are deeply concerned about the impact this group has had on our students and are taking immediate action to address the situation," said ISU President Wendy Wintersteen. "We urge any student who has been affected to reach out to our counseling services and support teams, who are available to provide assistance and guidance."

There is a mental health crisis at ISU stemming from a high-control group of churches referred to as The Network. The one recruiting students & young professionals here is Foundation Church.
They especially target freshmen, transfers, foreign students, and anyone alone or new to the city under 30. They use students 2 lure students & young professionals to lure people from work, avoiding "churchy" language. They tie you in relationally via LOVE-BOMBING & ISOLATION tactics. They hide their abusive controlling practices and beliefs, & their Network President is S.M.@Joshua Church in Austin, who SA'd a child.
The fallout has been massive: derailed careers, financial & labor exploitation, controlled member-only dating, no autonomy, isolation, shunning, ex-communication, cutting off family, and a mental health crisis resulting in suicide.
