Today a friend of mine recieved an email through Booking.com saying they need to confirm an already CONFIRMED AND PAID reservation through Booking.com.
When you enter the link it's scary how good these scammers have become and how good they imitate the real Booking.com website. They apparently hacked the system and are able to send scam email through booking official email.
I've seen here many people travelling for vacation I warn you to not pay for a second time and just ignore it. If you want to make sure you can call the hotel and confirm with them before giving out your card details.
Sadly many people even regular travellers fell for this scam.
