According to a recent report by the Human Rights Campaign, nearly 30% of LGBTQ+ individuals in the United States still face discrimination in the workplace, with many facing unfair treatment, harassment, and even termination. This staggering statistic is a sobering reminder that our fight is far from over.
In addition to workplace discrimination, LGBTQ+ individuals also face significant challenges in other areas of life, including education, healthcare, and social services. A recent study by the National Center for Transgender Equality found that nearly 40% of transgender individuals in the United States have attempted suicide, highlighting the urgent need for increased support and resources.
The struggle is not limited to the United States, as LGBTQ+ individuals around the world continue to face persecution, violence, and discrimination. From the anti-LGBTQ+ laws and policies implemented in countries like Russia and Nigeria, to the violent attacks and murders of LGBTQ+ individuals in countries like Brazil and Jamaica, the global struggle for LGBTQ+ rights is a complex and ongoing one.
As we reflect on the progress made in the fight for LGBTQ+ rights, it is essential that we acknowledge the work that remains to be done. We must continue to raise our voices, advocate for change, and support one another in our shared struggle for equality and acceptance.

I know we can't cross-post here, but, as a member of several other subReddits and other social media that focus on celebrity, the Royal Family, gossip, whatever, I can see that we are DEFINITELY outnumbered. The same goes for X, Facebook, Instagram, etc.
The voices that advocate for the Harkles always claim they are constantly being attacked, they just want to "live their lives", the press are always creating negative stories about them, all the antagonistic stories are for clicks because bad news always sells and the good news is ignored.
Hell, I was banned from posting in some group for simply saying Markle thought she was "special" at the Wimbledon Championships when she cleared out an entire seating section when someone posted the infamous picture.
We can present all the facts (as we know them), we can pull up all the instances of poor behaviour (that we are aware of), we can point to all the comments in disparate articles, but…we are in the obvious minority regarding H&M.
I don't know how she does it but social media and popular opinion seems to favor her. She is still with WME, she still socializes with Netflix honchos and she is still seen in the company of elites. They may snigger about her behind her back but I don't see her being ostracized from the Hollywood scene anytime soon.
