UK Government Introduces New Passport Rules: Name Change Now Permitted
In a shocking move, the UK Government has announced a significant update to its passport regulations. As of today, citizens will be able to make changes to their name on their passport without the need for a deed poll.
What does this mean for you?
As of now, individuals can update their name on their passport without the need for a deed poll, making the process faster and more convenient. This change will apply to both adults and children, and will include changes to names due to marriage, divorce, civil partnership, or any other reason.
How will this affect your travel plans?
With this new rule, travelers will no longer need to worry about delays or complications when traveling due to name changes. This will make international travel easier and more streamlined for UK citizens.
How to make the change:
To make the name change on your passport, you will need to provide proof of the name change, such as a deed poll, marriage certificate, or court order. You can then apply for a new passport through the Government’s website or by visiting a passport application center.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any further requests.
On my passport and aadhaar my name was <first name> <middle name> <last name>. I applied for Passport renewal but that was rejected because my 10th class certificate had the name <first name> <last name>.
Now I got my name changed in aadhaar to <first name> <last name>. So all documents expect passport do not have a middle name.
Now I want to apply for passport renewal again. There is a question which asks have you ever changed your name ? What should the answer to this be ? If yes, then should I follow the whole name change procedure of getting an affidavit and publishing an ad in the news paper ? Or should I answer no to that and instead answer yes to the question asking have you had any other names (aliases)?
