Junior Doctors Agree to Meet Mamata in Kalighat, Ending Indefinite Strike
Date: [Current Date]
Location: Kolkata, India
In a significant breakthrough, the junior doctors in West Bengal have agreed to meet Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee at Kalighat Kali Temple in Kolkata, bringing an end to their indefinite strike that has been ongoing since June 10.
According to sources, the decision to meet the Chief Minister was taken after a series of high-level talks between the junior doctors’ leaders and the state government representatives. The meeting is scheduled to take place at the Kalighat Kali Temple, a revered spiritual site in Kolkata, and is expected to resolve the long-standing issues between the doctors and the government.
The junior doctors, who are demanding better working conditions, increased security, and an end to the increasing workload, have been on strike for over a week, causing widespread disruption to healthcare services in the state. The strike has seen doctors and medical students joining hands to protest against the government’s alleged apathy towards their demands.
Meanwhile, the state government has been trying to resolve the issue through talks, but the negotiations have been ongoing for several days without any breakthrough. The meeting at Kalighat Kali Temple is seen as a last-ditch effort to resolve the crisis and end the strike.

Aj hoyche?
I don’t think there will be live streaming or videography, it was mentioned in the mail that only the minutes of the meeting will be recorded and signed by both the parties
Great news, hope there are both Physical and electronic evidence.
I doubt that there will be any live streaming – And I don’t understand why the Govt. insists on this meeting before the Supreme Court hearing tomorrow- what is the hidden agenda?
Doctors, please be careful
Govt raji hoye ni for videography or live stream. Minutes kora hobe.
Kintu amar minutes lekha bepar ta ektu fishy lagche aar pochondo hochena
They have agreed to note minutes as per the news channels. No live streaming.
This has a trap written all over it. I sincerely hope there are no doctors who are playing “both sides”. Dont want to be too pessimistic but Minutes + kalighat is probably as bad a hand as could be dealt with to these docs
The beginning of the end
জয় বাবা পার্থপ্রিয়। আজকেই সব ঠিক হয়ে যাবে।
Good step,
At least have a talk , give your reasons and then come out and then do a press conference.
That’s it . Now the govt cannot say doctors didn’t talk , but now tomorrow the govt can say no need to protest, we already listened and we will take action as required.
It can go both ways .
Oder calculated mental breakdown kora hochhe, manipulate kora hochhe. Ball is with the Government. Khela shesh. Only hope now is CBI….

If doctors get into meeting without enforcing transparency, the people should stop supporting them. What’s the point of so much protest if you succumb to the tyranny. You could have just had this on the first day without so much fuss.
The system really just wore down the doctors into submission. This is a perfect demonstration of how honest citizens of this country always get fucked over by our so-called elected representatives. The government always reserves the right to be entitled, egoistical, self-serving and selfish, and the onus is always on the citizenry to conduct themselves perfectly.
