BREAKING NEWS: Apple’s iOS 18 Safari Issues Leave Users Frustrated and Concerned
Apple’s latest software update, iOS 18, has left many iPhone and iPad users facing significant issues with Safari, the company’s native web browser. Reports of bugs and glitches have flooded social media and online forums, prompting widespread frustration and concern.
What are the Safari Issues?
Users have reported a plethora of problems with Safari since updating to iOS 18, including:
- Websites not loading: Many users have found that popular websites, such as Facebook, Twitter, and Gmail, are unable to load or display properly.
- Unstable browser: Safari has become slow and unresponsive, leading to frustrating experiences for those trying to browse the internet.
- Cache issues: Some users have reported issues with Safari’s cache, resulting in poor page loading times and failed login attempts.
- Pop-up ads and warnings: Unwanted pop-up ads and warnings have started appearing on websites, further annoying users.
- Incompatibility issues: Certain websites that previously worked seamlessly with iOS 17 are now inaccessible or non-functional.
Why are these issues a concern?
The problems with Safari on iOS 18 not only affect individual users’ browsing experiences but also have significant implications for:
- Work productivity: For those relying on the internet for work purposes, these issues can hinder their ability to be productive and efficient.
- Online security: Unstable browser behavior can create security vulnerabilities, exposing users to potential threats.
- E-commerce: Users may struggle to make online purchases or conduct transactions smoothly, impacting retailers’ business and revenue.
How can Apple fix these issues?
As Apple investigates and addresses these concerns, users are urged to report any issues and provide detailed feedback to aid in the troubleshooting process. Meanwhile, here are some temporary solutions to mitigate the impact of these issues:
- Clear Safari cache and cookies: Frequently clear cache and cookies to improve browser performance.
- Switch to alternative browsers: Try alternative browsers, such as Google Chrome or Firefox, to see if the issues persist.
- Disable pop-ups: Block pop-ups and unwanted ads to reduce distractions.
Will Apple fix these issues soon?
In a statement, Apple spokesperson Emily Foster acknowledged the reports and expressed commitment to addressing the concerns: "We apologize for the inconvenience these issues have caused and are working diligently to resolve the issues. We appreciate our customers’ feedback and will release an update as soon as possible."

Apologies in advance if this is the right place for this post. But is anyone else having issues using safari after the IOS 18 update?
Since the update I can use safari for maybe a minute then the webpage goes black. If I go back or hit refresh nothing happens. When I pop the webpage out I can see what I was searching but when I tap on the page it brings me back to a black screen.
I’ve tried killing the app, restarting my phone, and turning the WiFi on and off but get the same issue.
Has anyone else run into this or have a fix idea?
