Honest Question Raises Eyebrows: Can We Really Trust Politicians?
Washington D.C. – In a shocking turn of events, a simple yet profound question has sparked a heated debate across the nation. "Can we really trust politicians?" has become the topic of discussion among citizens, political analysts, and even politicians themselves.
The question was first raised by a young voter at a recent town hall meeting, where it was met with a mixture of applause and discomfort from the audience. Since then, social media has been flooded with opinions, comments, and reactions to this straightforward yet thought-provoking query.
Why the question matters
For many, the answer to this question is a resounding "no." Trust in politicians has been at an all-time low, with recent polls showing a significant decline in public confidence. Scandals, corruption, and broken promises have all contributed to this erosion of trust.
What the politicians say
When asked about the question, many politicians have offered varying responses. Some have acknowledged the lack of trust, citing the need for greater transparency and accountability. Others have dismissed the concern, insisting that they are working hard to serve the people and deserve the benefit of the doubt.
What the experts say
Political analysts have weighed in on the issue, pointing to a range of factors that have contributed to the decline in trust. These include the increasing polarization of politics, the influence of special interest groups, and the perceived lack of integrity among some politicians.
What you can do
So, what can be done to restore trust in politicians? Experts suggest several steps, including:
- Increased transparency and accountability
- Greater civility and bipartisanship in politics
- Stronger ethics rules and enforcement
- More citizen engagement and participation in the political process

What happened to this community? Isn't it called "4k TV Discussion" which means that people should be able to discuss issues, news, guides, announces, complains, etc on any 4k TVs, regardless of the brand/model. Instead i see a tendency to intimidate people on posting anything with regards to Hisense specifically, sometimes TCL too. If that's the idea of this community then perhaps it should be renamed to "4k TV Discussion (only Sony, LG, Samsung and some TCL)", that would be more accurate reflection on what i'm noticing here.
I'm not here to defend any brands, as a matter of fact i got burned on Hisense 85" U88KM that i purchased earlier this year and finally returning the TV next week. You can check on my earlier posts on the problems i have experienced with this model.
I just don't understand this behavior. Earlier today came across a post "Why does everyone drag TCL and Hisense processing/upscaling?" on this sub where someone was questioning exact this thing, how come these brands cannot compete? What threw me off is that this post was locked within hours. Really?
I get it some got pissed that rtings scored Hisense the way they did despite the QA/QC and other issues but rtings is not the only one that reviewed that TV.
Another factor is the budget, i'm sure many of us would love to go for a Sony, I personally always considered that a premium TV brand that hopefully one day will be able to afford. So no matter how much i want, each year the gap keeps shifting from my available budget. The technology is also changing and i want to experience that Dolby Vision/Atmos, HDR 10+ and other features that an older Sony wouldn't have. The only way to experience these new technologies are probably to go these new players with their buggy product. At least for me.
I'm planning on getting the U88N next which is at least twice cheaper than a similar packed Sony tv, i just can't afford spending 6 grand for a TV that might not last those 5 years. I'm pretty sure the Hisense won't last that much either but at least i can buy another one within my 6 years of warranty and still spend less that a good Sony.
Most likely the post will be removed immediately, so be it, i just needed to let this out of my chest.
An honest question, why in other subs they don't discriminate based on brand? For instance r/tools, are they locking threads if the questions are on cheap brands? Haven't seen anything like that.
