I don’t mind music related news from legit sources as much as the askreddit type posts. They get annoying.
I think you can’t rename a sub. That’s why r/Twitter never changed to r/X.

It’s not though. Look at /new. It’s more like 95% music or music discussion.
It’s just that because it’s a default sub, news stuff gets picked up and upvoted.
If you’re using the “best” sorting method on your home feed, it might be trained to show you those things because you’re interacting with them. Click “hide” if that’s the case, and you’ll start seeing them less eventually.
