Hey all,
It's me, again.
Life update…. had my first pain management appointment today….
And unexpectedly, I cried like a baby. Full on sobbing as I talked about my pain and all the emotions and feelings that I've had to repress just to get by.
Lucky my Mom went with me. She helped explain thoughts that I couldn't put into words to the doctor. And she comforted me when I started to break down.
I'm going to be put on new pain meds with an increasing dosage every 10 days, so that's good news.
But I learned from my doctor that none of her fibro patients have been able to get aid through the state…same with some other severe patients that she's had over the years, and currently…that was truly disheartening considering how much my sister and I need the money for rent.
Oh, I also got my first pain medication shot in my hip…it hurt like a witch at first, and for a little while after. It only stings now, likely because I've been laying on my side for the last few hours….sure I'll feel it tomorrow, but hopefully my new meds will be ready by then.
Genny's been extra attentive since my pain appointment. You should all see her in her doggy booties, oh they're so cute 🙂
Two days ago, I realized that Genny got worms from untreated flea larvae that were likely living in the grass of our apartment complex….I was so angry and worried.
But on the positive side, Genny went to the vet yesterday. She’s on a monthly preventative that should treat her worms, as well as prevent other nasty things from hurting my baby. She also got her shots updated, too. Good news is that other than the worms, she's in perfect health 🙂 She’s sluggish from the shots, meds and long 2 days, but getting better 🙂
Sadly, her appointment cost a pretty penny…positive side is that it’s on a payment plan, which I hope to make some money by then if possible. But that means, no podcast for my novel.
I'm trying to turn my free coloring pages (for personal use) into SVG files to sell, I'll be sure to keep you all posted 🙂 Thank you to those who checked out my Patreon, Seraphine's Tales, and my Etsy (same name) and liked and followed them. The support means so much to me, really.
I still plan on posting chapters of my novel to my Patreon. The first few will be free, then the rest will be under a tier. I plan on posting at least one chapter per week once I start. Shorter chapter weeks might have two chapters.
Maybe one day I can raise enough funds to start my podcast back up; it means alot to me to try and get that started again, as someone with brain fog (I know you all can relate) and dyslexia, as well as friends and family with sight issues, I always hoped that I’d be able to reach more people…that more people would be able to experience the world that I’ve created…by doing my podcast. And at one point, back when my podcast was up, I had over 100 downloads which was amazing 🙂
One day though.
Getting my chapters up is still progress…baby steps. And I hope you all check out my paranormal fantasy; here’s the elevator pitch for it…
“Callie, a reaper, must face her past and possibilities of who she really is, or lose her soul, her love and her city to Hell.”
I hope to start posting chapters as soon as next week 🙂
Along with a podcast, I even have hopes of turning my novel into a graphic novel…it would be SO AWESOME. But also really expensive, haha… one day maybe.
I’m also still working with my sculpture friend for my dolls that I designed, as well as the ones that she designed that she’s letting me sell as part of my small shop. I’m really excited. I already have a Patreon tier up for them for when the time comes…one day voting on which dolls or outfits to make next or bring into the shop.
Today was REALLY hard, but I’m trying to keep in mind the little positive things that I’ll have going for me in the future which helps me feel a little less drained.

I can’t wait to check out your page. I’m glad your mom is on Team You. That must be very reassuring ❤️ I’m here to listen anytime you need. Sometimes it helps to scream into a void I think.
