The Scions Unveil Post-EW WoL (World Order): A New Era for the Galactic Empire

Date: March 15, 2023

In a shocking move, the Scions, a powerful and enigmatic faction, have announced the establishment of a new World Order, marking a significant shift in the balance of power within the galaxy. This breaking news comes on the heels of the recent events that shook the galaxy, following the devastating war between the Galactic Empire and the Rebel Alliance.

According to sources close to the Scions, the WoL is designed to ensure the survival and dominance of the Scion species, as well as to maintain stability and order in the galaxy. The new World Order is built upon a foundation of cooperation and mutual understanding between the Scions and other major factions, including the Empire and the Rebel Alliance.

Key Components of the WoL:

  1. Scion-Human Alliance: The Scions have forged a powerful alliance with humanity, securing a strong bond between the two species. This partnership is expected to drive innovation, trade, and technological advancements.
  2. Galactic Governance: The WoL establishes a new, Scion-led governance structure, aimed at maintaining peace and stability throughout the galaxy. This system is designed to address conflicts and disputes through diplomatic means, rather than through military action.
  3. Expansion and Colonization: The Scions have announced plans to expand their territories, establishing new colonies and outposts across the galaxy. This move is expected to bring new resources, talent, and opportunities to the Scion people.
  4. Technology and Innovation: The WoL emphasizes the development of advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence, biotechnology, and advanced propulsion systems. This focus on innovation is expected to drive growth and progress for the Scion species and their allies.

Reaction from the Galactic Community:

The news of the WoL has sent shockwaves throughout the galaxy, with many factions and organizations reacting with a mix of excitement, concern, and skepticism. The Galactic Empire has issued a statement expressing cautious optimism, while the Rebel Alliance has denounced the Scions’ actions as a threat to galactic freedom.

What’s Next?

As the Scions continue to shape the new World Order, it remains to be seen how this development will impact the galaxy’s future. One thing is certain, however: the Scions’ WoL marks a new era for the Galactic Empire, and the Scions’ place at the center of galactic politics is now more prominent than ever.

So, I always see people talking about how close we are with the Scions. Recently I beat Endwalker and after a pretty long break, and talking to some friends it dawned on me how a lot of character moments that really made it clear how close we were to the Scions were either in Stormblood/Shadowbringers, or were at times external media even some people just never saw (Stormblood anniversary added a lot of stuff). So I decided that I wanted to make a little list of what the Scions and the WoL have been through per Scion. I'll also include a small mention of major things that some of the character did to show interest in the WoL.

If anything is wrong or missing feel free to shoot and let me know. I doubt I can recall years of story even if I've looked up a lot of this.

Thancred:

If you're a girl and start off in Ul Dah off the rip he hits in you, as a boy no dice. Don't think he tries again afterwards. After you join the scions, the events of ARR pass without much fanfare or particular scenes with him that come to mind. He vanishes at the Banquet alongside Y'shtola and Minfilia until post-campaign Heavensward. Throughout this he grows colder overall due to the events of the banquet, and it gets worse with the news about Minfilia. He's still close with the WoL and the Scions but he closes himself off until ShB when he comes out of his shell again around or after the events regarding Ryne. Endwalker further solidifies this, as he has grown both past his trauma and come out stronger. He cares deeply, and makes it very clear after ShB.

Urianger:

No flirting or other scenarios come to mind. Like an eccentric, formal uncle. He feels like he holds many secrets from ARR to Endwalker but he's always close at hand to ensure our safety and survival. He does at time hold secrets he shouldn't (Us absorbing the Lightwardens in ShB and keeping it from Y'shtola) but he always has a plan in mind. There isn't much I can say about him because while he's secretive he's one of the more clearly worried individuals in the group, mayhap not verbally but emotionally so. Similar to Y'shtola in the cares a lot but keeps it subtle and doting kind of caring.

G'raha Tia:

I don't think I need to list how much he hero worships the WoL, and all of it is ingame and I know nothing external that adds to this. (Tied for #1 fan with Alisae). As for his story, complicated as it is, it began in the Crystal Tower raids, and then returned in ShB. He's incredibly close to the WoL, be it through his deep admiration, having known him before, or through various other means. G'raha in particular is extremely verbal about his friendship and it's clear how much he cares, as there's no veil or facade hiding it. There isn't a particular moment that cements him as a close friend/found family he is simply bubbly and friendly and very easy to like.

Eistinien:

I know not of any flirting that comes to mind, but do correct me if I'm wrong. As for friends, I'd consider it akin to a very close friend you could almost call a brother. Rivals at times as well. He's blunt, brash, and does little to hide how much he appreciates everyone, albeit in a taciturn, matter-of-fact way that makes him seemthe most cut and dry with his words and feelings. I'd honestly say he and Thancred share a similar position. Both are like brothers but one is far more vocal and chummy and the other is a tad more serious but with a dry wit.

Alphinaud:

Initially maybe some hero worship that could border on a crush, as for external media, there was the pseudo date event during the Stormblood anniversary stream where he does appear. As a member of the Scions, he's like a younger, extremely mature brother. He's gone through many events as the games progress and various character arcs that could fit their own novel if we we're to go in depth. From Bahamut, to HW with Eistinien and Ysayle, and the list goes on and on. He's one of the more mature members during and after EW, and he's become the closest thing to your equal in terms of rallying the group.

Alisae:

I don't think I need to say how big the hero worship/possible crush she has is, Y'shtola goes so far as to tease her and G'raha on how open they are with it. It extends outside of the game, with a hint for Alisae, Lyse and Y'shtola that there is some interest in our wandering hero (Calm After the Storm sidestory) and the dating sim vid of you and her adventuring (anniversary stream). As for as a Scion, they are one of the bleeding hearts, beating loudly. She's not reserved, unlike her brother she's far more open to her emotions (or so it feels) and she's far more likely to speak her mind or run her mouth, but that's what makes her endearing. Similar to Alphinaud I'd include her as the explosive (tsundere lol) member of the team, and how you see her really depends on if you think she has a crush or not (either a little sister or otherwise).

Y'shtola:

As for flirting or crushes, external media includes Calm After the Storm (Implied interest on WoL with Lyse and Alisae), Anniversary Wine drinking "date". As for her as a character, she's one of the more emotionally mature of the bunch, as such I would consider her alongside Urianger to be the bedrock of the group (Thancred eventually joined this group alongside Alphinaud). She initally comes off as closed, guarded, and with a reserved personality, albeit chummy if not generally friendly as she shows her more sassy/combatative side to the Scions and the WoL. She vanishes until post HW, loses her eyesight, and after various fan favorite scenes (Little Sun) procedes to end up in ShB. There she undergoes not so much character growth, but more so an appreciation for those she has an becomes far more open with her feelings with her fellow Scions (example, panicking visibly when she learns about your Lightwarden absorption problem). I'd say much like Alisae your relationship with her really, really depends on how you view her possible interest in you. More often than not the doting, caring mother of the group.

If I we're to include others, Yda and Papalymo sadly didn't get much after ARR until Stormblood and we know how that ended. Lyse is also interesting, and has some very cool moments, but due to how little we get of her its hard to really attach more to her than what happened in Stomrblood, the anniversary sidestory and the anniversary dating clips. That should be everything? I'll add more as people point out more but I'm happy as is for the moment.
