According to sources close to the deal, Amanda Staveley, the billionaire entrepreneur, has set a deadline to complete her investment in Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United’s Premier League rivals. This move could potentially disrupt the Magpies’ takeover, which is still pending, and sent shockwaves through the world of football.
Staveley, who has already had a deal in place to buy Newcastle United from Mike Ashley, has apparently grown impatient with the delayed process and has decided to pursue another option. Sources suggest that she is keen to finalize the Tottenham deal, which would give her ownership of two top-flight teams.
The proposed takeover has been met with mixed reactions from Tottenham fans, who are divided over the idea of Staveley owning their beloved club. However, the move could attract new investment and potentially bolster the team’s chances of success.
This development is likely to raise questions over the future of Newcastle’s takeover, which has been plagued by delays and issues. Staveley and her business partner Mehrdad Ghodoussi are yet to confirm the takeover, and the Magpies’ fans are growing restless.

I sincerely hope this doesn’t happen. Aside from the obvious, she gives me the creeps…
What is the actual benefit to the club?? We’re not short on money, we’re generating great commercial and match day revenue. It’s not going to impact our transfer or wage spending. It’s not going to improve infrastructure because that’s what we’ve already invested in.
Where is the benefit?
So long as it’s clean middle eastern money (well atleast as clean as American investors), with no tie to any government (democratic or not), I’m fine with it.
Someone crash course me please? I don’t get why we’d bring more investors right now but who is she?
