Greetings, everyone!
Thank you for playing Update 1.1 and participating in our Kickstarter 5 year anniversary contests, we hope you enjoyed the games and prizes.
We wanted to update you on what is next for Day of Dragons Early Access.
First, we are working on a bug fix patch for 1.1. Patch 1.1.1 will focus on fixing the Swamp Snapper, EAC connection/kick issues, the low quality texture issue and other bugs as well as improve nesting upstatting by clamping the recessive downcrit to bloodline quality (downcrit will be A- instead of B+ on A BQ).
After we fix 1.1, we will be working on releasing Update 1.2 which will come much sooner than 1.1.
Things to look forward to in 1.2 include map updates and the Brood Watcher, our first class 6 and first herbivorous dragon. The Brood Watcher is an in-game unlockable available to all players, you just have to figure out how to unlock it (once per server). If you are a Kickstarter backer, the Brood is already unlocked for you and Kickstarters with Beta Access will get the instant unlock 3 days before anyone else does. This gives other kickstarters a chance to unlock it in-game before it's permanently unlocked for them on all servers.
Brood Watchers have no element but have a "shotgun-style" spike throw and several armor-piercing melee attacks. They will also play a huge role in upstatting.
Additionally, we will be adding proper nest incubation (based on temperature) and the Regurgitation mechanic (to help feed your babies). Lastly, we have some love coming for the Biolumin. Bio's will be able to nest on the sides of rocks along with their ground nests. We are also adding a single NPC nesting pair of Bio's to cherry island in the big lake which will randomly spawn 5 eggs every 24hrs. The eggs will be first-come first-serve, but only those without a Bio on their account will be able to take an egg. This enables servers with no Bio's to be able to nest in via NPCs. The eggs will be in high demand on high pop servers but easy to acquire on low pop servers. If the Bio dies, you will need to be re-nested. NPC Bio babies will be born with random spawn stats the same as wild eggs.
Be on the lookout for our 1.2 Brood Watcher Trailer. Thanks for playing our game!
