Looking for Saturdayâs Connections hints and answers? You can find them here:
Hey there, folks! I hope youâre having a fantastic weekend.
Todayâs NYT Connections hints and answers are coming right up.
How To Play Connections
In Connections, youâre presented with a grid of 16 words. Your task is to arrange them into four groups of four by figuring out the links between them. The groups could be things like horror movie franchises, a type of verb or rappers.
Thereâs only one solution for each puzzle, and youâll need to be careful when it comes to words that might fit into more than one category. You can shuffle the words to perhaps help you see links between them.
Each group is color coded. The yellow group is usually the easiest to figure out, blue and green fall in the middle, and the purple group is typically the hardest one to deduce. The purple group often involves wordplay, so bear that in mind.
Select four words you think go together and press Submit. If you make a guess and youâre incorrect, youâll lose a life. If youâre close to having a correct group, you might see a message telling you that youâre one word away from getting it right, but youâll still need to figure out which one to swap.
If you make four mistakes, itâs game over. Letâs make sure that doesnât happen with the help of some hints, and, if youâre really struggling, todayâs Connections answers.

This is your final warning!
Todayâs Connections answers are…
- Yellow group â slender projections (POINT, PRONG, TINE, TIP)
- Green group â conditions for collectibles (FAIR, FINE, GOOD, MINT)
- Blue group â profession (BUSINESS, FIELD, LINE, TRADE)
- Purple group â words before “nut” (BRAZIL, BUTTER, DOUGH, PINE)
My third straight perfect game brings my overall win streak up to seven.
Seeing BRAZIL and PINE next to each other made it pretty clear what the purple connection was, but I decided to clear another group first. That was the yellows, thanks to PRONG and TINE. The purple group was next up.
I wasn’t totally sure about the greens and blues, but the four green words just kinda made sense together, even though I didn’t figure out the connection. That left the blues for victory.
Thatâs all there is to it for todayâs Connections clues and answers. Be sure to check my blog for hints and the solution for Mondayâs game if you need them.
P.S. I really enjoyed hearing this song wake me up this morning. Along with Queen, R.E.M. were one of the first big bands that my parents got me into. I was fortunate enough to see them a couple of times before the split (the band, not my parents, who are still happily together). As with Daft Punk, I occasionally get sad that R.E.M. are no longer together but jeez, what a hell of a run they had.
